High Roller Staircase - Viva Las Vegas!
Nestled in the prestigious “Summit Club” neighborhood of Summerlin, a collaborative development between Discovery Land Company and The Howard Hughes Corporation, this extraordinary property boasts a prime location, mere minutes away from the vibrant Las Vegas Strip. Its stunning views overlook a Tom Fazio-designed golf course, with the glittering Las Vegas Strip serving as a breathtaking backdrop, especially when illuminated at night.
Upon entering this remarkable residence, a striking circular staircase commands attention, its beauty rooted in the harmonious blend of blackened rolled steel, hardwood, and curved glass. The sturdy inner steel stringer rises to form a solid, integrated rail, while the outer glass railing creates a sense of airiness and transparency, balanced by the warmth of the wooden treads and handrail.
This masterful design is the result of a partnership between JD Stairs, skilled artisans, and Glasshape, who provided a comprehensive service from digital field measurement to design, production, and supply of the bespoke 14.28mm (9/16″) TemperShield bent, toughened (tempered) and laminated glass. The finished staircase is a testament to the combined expertise of both companies, united in their commitment to delivering exceptional service and quality.

"We had been talking about using Glasshape for our curved and twisted glass for a while. Finally we did. They came out and did a 3D scan of the stairs so that we didn't have to make templates. Then they created a model of the stair and the pieces of glass for approval. The glass arrived on the promised date. The install went really well. They were hard standoffs to hit because we could only use a 5/8" hole so there wasn't much play. Every hole hit where it was supposed to. I was very impressed. The cost was a little more than standard curved glass but it was worth every penny".
