E-zone is the all-new StormShield thermal resistant and hydrostatic pressure tested, cyclone rated glass.
Glasshape Limited’s E-zone Thermal Resistant Cyclone Rated glass is a fully certified Grade A Laminated Safety glass for use in cyclonic regions.
When using E-zone the need for double-glazing is often eliminated because of its superb thermal resistant and energy efficient properties.
E-zone is fully cyclone rated (AS/NZS1170.2:2002), and has a design wind capacity of 6.74 kPa in a 9.88 mm thick panel* (in accordance with AS4040.2). It also offers excellent light transmission and the highest solar gain in its class (SF = 72%).
E-zone has also been subjected to a series of Hydrostatic pressure tests and takes cyclone resistant glass to a completely new level, setting yet another benchmark as an industry leader. On top of offering serious protection from wind and storm damage E-zone is also flood resistant.
E-zone is available in two stock thicknesses, 9.88 and 13.88 mm. Other special make up thicknesses available on request.
